Project requirements:

British company Modcomp Limited approached MEMOS Software with a request for cooperation in development for one of their customer, Haulfryn Group Ltd. Company. Haufryn is the Holiday and Residential Homes Company offering holiday homes rentals.
MEMOS Software together with Modcomp Limited cooperated on the development of the new booking system that would enable simple searching for the availability and booking facilities. At present there is no facility to search for availability and customers have to complete a simple web form that generates an email to a member of Haulfryn’s telesales staff who is required to contact the customer to complete the booking process.
Haulfryn currently use a number of legacy systems, not accessible via the internet, to book capacities. However the company has recently introduced a new ERP system based upon the Microsoft Navision Product. The plan is to migrate the data from the legacy systems onto the centralized system to coincide with completion of the web online availability and booking system.

Project solution:

The booking system will be accessible via company’s websites respecting the requirement to be as much intuitive to use as possible.

The booking system implementation will empower potential and returning customers by allowing them to view and select availability before booking directly against Haulfryn’s reservation system, without the need to interact with a member of Haulfryn’s staff. Another benefit is the supplement the role of the telesales department in the short term and over the medium term contributes to the reduction of cost overheads within this area of the business.

For searching availability and booking facilities the user enters his criteria for choosing an accommodation. The browser then displays the results of the search and provides facilities to allow the user to modify the search criteria on the same page. Users are then asked to fill in their personal details along with payment information prior to making a reservation. If the product is successfully reserved then the application will process the payment details provided using an external payment system.

The booking system is programmed in ASP.NET technology and uses MS SQL Server database as the database.
