Implementation of an “Out of Office” feature into Thunderbird

Zonio is a company dealing with development, implementation, support and consultation services referring to open software. The company offers innovative enterprise solutions based on the open source.
Zonio approached Memos Software with a request to develop a plug-in for Mozilla Thunderbird mail client, which would implement the “Out of Office”.
Solution
MEMOS Software developed the plug-in for Mozilla Thunderbird, which saves data to LDAP, where they are at disposal for further use (using Gnarwl auto responder or Postfix mail server). This processing is, however, not solved by the plug-in itself. Its task is to securely store data with the help of encryption protocol (SSL).
Zonio acquired this way the “Out of office” feature operating with data concentrated in LDAP. This is a solution which conforms to architecture of their information system.
