LeasePlan CZ Company belongs to LeasePlan Corporation N.V. - the biggest provider of operational leasing worldwide.
The main idea of this project was to create a web application for Order and Delivery management. Because of security rules and an old user interface (IBM AS 400) it was not possible to give access to the external users (customers and suppliers) via a web application. So there was no chance to afford the customers and suppliers in real-time calculations, orders, documents etc. The main requirements from the client were to cover these issues:
• Easily define the processes and user interface
• Removing paper documents (Fax communication)
• Defining user groups, roles and rights
• Defining entity states and workflow steps
• Do not put the business logic outside the internal IT infrastructure
• Multiple languages support
To cover the whole order process MEMOS Software was a part of the analysis team in LeasePlan.
Because of different operation systems it was very important to create a XML based communication. With this communication type it’s very easy to define the user interface, processes and workflow steps, user groups, identities, user roles and more (see Image below). Technically the application is developed in ASP.NET and MSSQL Server 2005 is used as data storage.
Currently this application is used for the whole order and delivery process not only by external users (customers and suppliers) but also by internal users and management for approval and internal process coverage.
