Atomic Software is a Danish company with more than a 20 year tradition on ERP applications market. Its activity is concentrated mostly on Scandinavian area (Denmark, Sweden and Norway).
Company Atomic Software approached us with a request to help them with development of company’s main product – Keybalance ERP. Current version of ERP Keybalance product is a compact Windows application based on file databases. Its user interface stems from definitions set for Windows 3.11 / 95 and therefore they do not meet today’s requirements. Also the whole ERP core is created by many DLL files. If these DLL files are wrongly configured they cause application to crash and system instability.
Solution of ERP Keybalance
After analyzing existing ERP software company MEMOS Software developed in direct cooperation with Atomic’s developers a modern COM interface which provides interface for accessing data. All communications with interface are in XML. This COM interface can run on local computer or on server as a service to which all clients connect.
As a next step, company MEMOS Software designed and created a new Keybalance ERP Front-end which communicates solely using XML structures which are processed by COM interface. Keybalance ERP Front-end provides user with every comfort in accordance with today’s standards and is fully compatible with application’s old version and, if need be, both client applications can run at once.
Keybalance ERP Front-end application has no fixed user interface, all dialogs and menus are created during the run with the help of received XML structures. This ensures maximal flexibility and easy change of language of the user interface. For example, if there is need to change the appearance of one of the dialogs in ERP application, all that needs to be done is change the definition in XML in database and the change will be immediately displayed in the whole ERP application.
Company MEMOS Software continues its cooperation with Atomic DK company in developing other modules for ERP Keybalance in the form of direct developer support.
