Task description
Experta Partner company provides production and inspection of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) systems. HACCP system ensures precautionary and systematic access to early identification of any health hazard, e.g. foodstuff, and prevents its origination. The thorough application not only significantly reduces health hazards but also the economic losses in production. System of critical points is locked on key factors which affect safety and healthiness of foodstuff in the whole food chain beginning with the refining of raw materials and ending with its sale. The HACCP system serves to control biological, chemical and physical factors which have effect on food and can disturb its condition. Experta Partner needed to develop a desktop software which would allow them to partially automatize the HACCP audit creation process.
Solution
MEMOS Software company created for Experta Partner a desktop application for processing HACCP methodology. Program was created using C# programming language. The Crystal Reports tool was used for creating reports.
XML technology was used as a database. Individual files are stored on local hard drive. One file equals one study hence the studies are easily transportable between computers (similar to for example MS Word documents). XML structure is exactly defined by XSD XML schemes. That guarantees 100% compatibility and integrity of stored data.
In desktop application emphasis was placed on user friendly environment and on maximum use of keyboard shortcuts as well as drags&drop technology.
