Principles of corporate culture

7 basic principles

These principles should be our corporate constitution, which ensures the long term stability of Memos in view of the human resources quality. These principles are unchangeable, even if other systems and processes are insufficent and they become obsolete. Their adherence ensures the continous improvement and obtaining new knowledge to people in Memos. It is called principles of the self-learning (problems solving) organisation.

These principles represent the main evaluative standard of all Memos employees.

Conceptuality (pointing, I think about result)

If I want to learn something (to do something, to solve a problem), I should have an idea about final state. If I don`t know, where I want to get, I will never get there. It means that, I should have some aim or conception about it how I want to reach my aims all the time (solving problems).

Proactivity

If I know what I want, I have to become proactive. Without an energy activity developing I will never reach the goal (solving problem). I should face actively to the problem, I should never wait for self-solution of the problem, somebody tells me, that I have to do it or somebody solves it instead of me . The active influence of my reality (= the reality, which I can influence) it brings a feeling of self-satisfaction to me, the feeling of my own value. An active approach (and not to wait for death) is appreciated in Memos.

Mems (knowledge sharing)

The Mem is an unit of imitation (it is origin of Memos name). The human learns mainly from other people, that the person imitates them. People attend classes, reading books, watching movies, they just monitor how other people do it. People don`t discover everything from the start, but they are capable of use already gained knowledge. Problems can be solved, that we take look at previous solution and we use it. Memos empoyees are evaluated on the basis of fast learning from the others.

Mistakes and ability of feedback

Educational system is based on the evaluation as per the count of mistakes, which we make, it has an impact, that mistakes are bad and we have to avoid them. If you still remember, how you learned to ride on bycycle, it included a lot of falls (mistakes). Edison invented the lightbulb after that he made 1000 mistakes (wrong material etc.). The mistake shouldn`t be primarily a subject sanction, punishment, but the source of feedback, how to make it better and differently next time. The errancy and followed feedback is another way how people learn and solve problems.

Let us be grateful for findings, that we have made something wrong. The human can make it wrong for a long time, but it works and after that he make it wrong ten times, the big problem occurs and then he finds out actually, that he made it wrong all the time.

Don`t fear to do things, which we have already made wrong. Don`t fear of them and just try to do them in better way this time.

Don`t be afraid of experiments (mistakes), because it is the source of new knowledge and new business opportunities (Edison`s lightbulb). Don`t be afraid of doing new things just because we are afraid of failure. If we will be afraid, our competition not and it can show, that it was a good thing in the end.

Memos employees are evaluated as per the feedback assumption and not making mistakes. And how they accomplish to solve the same thing in future.

Innovation (knowledge and making mistakes connection)

The innovation (new products, improvement) is created by existing things and by experiments (mistakes). The car invention is a combination of already existing carriage and the gas-engine. eWay idea is coming from the attentive listening to the client (lawyers don`t want to learn a new software, so we do it in Outlook, which they know).

Memos can survive only, if we won`t oversleep and we will bring new and creative solutions all the time. In Memos we appreciate an ability for the existing solutions combination, which brings something new and innovative.

Cooperation

If you will help to solve problems of other people in company(you will train them), they will return it to you and you will learn from them.

In Memos we appreciate people, who are gladly helping to each other.

Don`t do it wrong

The most often sentence on an interview is „I am a perfectionist“. But the problem is, that every person is perfect in different ways and cannot be perfect in everything. The result of this is, that no person can be perfectionist. Only thing what he may do, he can do all activities in the best way what he knows and in other ways just don`t do it wrong and trying continous improvement of already reached.

We appreciate the ability for the continuous improvement of given and finished items and processes.
